Who are you and HomeCheck Surveying?
My name is Gary Graham. I’m the Director of Home Check Surveying. And we are a residential surveying practice based in the northeast of England.

What were your goals & have you achieved them?Â
As a new business, it was really important for us to start with the correct foundations in place. And the goal was always to provide excellent customer service alongside quality surveys.
So using the CRM ensures that we operate efficiently. Rather than muddling along using our own spreadsheets, Survey Booker has made the admin tasks extremely easy, which in turn has allowed us to focus more energy on the technical side of the job.

Was there anything you were skeptical about?Â
One thing that I was slightly concerned about was that I would lose a personal touch with customers. But this hasn’t been the case at all. We received great onboarding from the Survey Booker team. We were taught how to customise our email interactions fully. So they’re branded with the company logo, we’ve got our usual email signatures at the bottom and we fully customised our own wording. So the emails that the clients receive are pretty much as good as something that I would have came up with on the spot had I just been answering organically.Â
Something that I was interested to know was how much time would I actually save by using an automated system? Again, this has been excellent. It’s achieved what I wanted it to achieve. Once the work’s put in at the front end and you’ve fully customised everything, most of your interactions can be dealt with at the click of a button. So as a small practice and somebody who’s on the go all of the time, that’s exactly what I wanted.Â

How has Survey Booker helped you engage customers?
My favourite feature that I’ve been able to utilise is the ability to provide an instant quote for a survey. So we use a backlink in our website that hooks up the Survey Booker. And when clients visit our website, they can click the link, receive an instant quote. I just think in business these days consumers want a quick answer on how much a survey will cost first and foremost.
That’s the foot in the door for me. And then after that, it’s up to me to sell my services to them. But being able to provide that is excellent.
